| So I've actually been playing a lot of piano lately. Which is weird because I've always hated piano. I can almost sing along with some of the songs too, hehe. So, I've been growing my hair out and its still in the awkward "almost" stage. Almost long enough to look decent, but I get this funny looking puff ball in the front. Its entertaining to look at (I tried taking pictures of it, but I can't photograph myself that well..................Who knew. ) The best part is in the back of my hair though. I have a mini-mullet combined with the backside of a duck (curls out) | | |
| So I finished my presentation. It went ok. I was a little distracted because I forgot to print out my handout, but it was alright. Well, I'm going to go practice. Man, I need to do more exciting things, so I'll actually have something to write about, meh, oh well. | | |
| So............I have a suggestion for anyone who may get bored in the future. Try reading 17 straight pages in the New Grove Dictionary of Music and Musicians, preferably the Ethnomusicology section. Wholey crap is it riveting. I can hardly sit still. (SARCASM) I can't stand reading material that sounds as though someone is just bragging about all of their personal knowledge. Who wants to read a selection in which every other word might appear on the vocabulary section of the GRE exam. I'm just bitter because I've been reading this thing since noon. | | |
| So.................today was really boring. More people I know should move to Conway, Arkansas. yep, relocation. Anywho, I'm gonna go listen to an oboe quintet. | | |
| I had a good lesson today. I'm now beginning to work on a Japanese marimba piece called "Michi" by Keiko Abe. Sweet deal. I havn't actually played any Japanese marimba pieces. I just finished learning a nice Spanish piece, and I'm working on a Bach cello suite (German). hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.................I guess I'm playing music from many different cultures. Who knew? I'm broadening my horizons. How cliche is that? Oh yeah, and I'm playing an American xylophone rag, This might possibly be the most boring post ever for most people, but I'm excited. Time to go to jazz band | | |
